PROJETO TERRA LIMPA: A EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL E AS PRÁTICAS PEDAGÓGICAS DESENVOLVIDAS NAS ESCOLAS DO MUNICÍPIO DE BALNEÁRIO CAMBORIÚ

Abstract

This study analyzed the effectiveness of the Projeto Terra Limpa , a program to handle properly city garbage. This program was developed in the city of Balneário Camboriú, with the Education and Environmental Offices. The study also analyzed pedagogical practices developed in the schools, identified environmental issues, which showed the social representations, behaviors and attitudes of teachers and students with respect to environmental education on city garbage. This study involved questions of significant aspects in educational actions and economic, political, cultural and social issues. Within this approach, the study was based on documents and questionnaire analysis, alive and/or reported experiences and interviews with the staff, teachers and students. Contexts and elements interfering in the development of pedagogical practices were identified. They indicated possibilities and limits for future educational actions based on different daily experiences. Besides trying to look at the object of investigation and the participants under a new light, this work intended to help others to overcome their doubts and problems regarding the project Terra Limpa and the pedagogical activities of the schoools involved.
