Aprendizagem de estudantes jovens e adultos: um estudo em cursos de educação profissional de nível médio e superior

Abstract

This study furthers the understanding of the learning process of young people and adults, in professional education context at secondary or higher education level, and the construction of interactional agendas proposed by the teaching staff working on these courses in the area of Logistics, and their role in learning. It identifies the mechanisms (cognitive resources) used by the students in the professional education context, for learning in the classroom. The study was carried out through research in two institutions: one at secondary level and the other at higher education level. It is part of the research theme Public policies and Educational Practices, within the line of research Policies for Basic and Higher Education. Evidence of learning by mediation and repetition are presented, identified through the reality of the classroom and the discourse of the students and teachers. It was observed that the knowledge transmitted by the school tradition gives more weight to social practices than to scientific knowledge. It is concluded that the model internalized by the student whereby he or she learns through repetition or mediation - is a result of the school practices
